Botanical Sketchbooking in a Meditative Environment

In this course we will connect with nature, and draw our botanical subjects in a calm setting with light music, focusing on staying present in the moment and being mindful of what we are doing rather than being focused on an end goal. Letting go of control and allowing for whatever comes to your paper to be.

Drawing can be a meditative process that you can feel wellness from, turning the act of creating into a therapeutic experience, allowing yourself to enjoy the process with out expectation.

Engaging in a self-care routine (such as meditation) has been clinically proven to aid in the management of anxiety and depression symptoms. Reduce stress, improve concentration, minimize frustration and anger, increase happiness, improve energy, and more.

Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. You can also use it to relax and cope with stress by refocusing your attention on something calming. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace.
