Join us for the 2026 Summer Art Camp at RPAC Art Center in Ridgefield, CT! Open to ages 10-18, this creative camp offers expert instruction in a variety of exciting art forms, including painting techniques, character development, storyboarding, flip book animation, landscapes and exploration of materials. Campers who are not required to follow the theme for the week, and can opt into an instructor led studio session to focus on their own project. Whether you're exploring a theme or working on your own project, you'll have the freedom to express your creativity in a fun, supportive environment. Campers are responsible for lunch. Morning: Creating with Colored Pencil with Dylan or Instructor led studio art

After: Creating in Acrylics with Dale OR Instructor led studio art

Wk 2: July 14th -July 18th - Afternoon Session Only

Afternoon:  Free painting instruction with Dylan OR Instructor led studio art

Wk 3: July 20th-July 24th

Morning:  Character Development with Dylan or Instructor led studio art

Afternoon: Creating in Oils with Dale or Instructor led studio art

Wk 4: August 3rd-August 7th

Morning: Creating using Markers or using Pastels with Dylan or Instructor led studio art

After: Creating an abstract painting with Dale or Instructor led studio art

Wk 5: Aug 17th – Aug 21st

Morning: Creating with Colored Pencil with Dylan or Instructor led studio art

After: Creating in Acrylics with Dale OR Instructor led studio art

Important Information & Policies

  • Lunch & Supervision:
    Students enrolled in two sessions on the same day will be unsupervised during the lunch period. Lunch arrangements are the responsibility of the student and their family.

    • Students must have written permission to leave the Art Center for lunch (a form will be provided at checkout).

    • There is no refrigeration available for packed lunches.

    • Students who remain onsite should come prepared with a lunch that does not require refrigeration or heating.

  • Authorized Pick-Up & Dismissal:
    Families are required to provide a list of approved guardians. Students will only be permitted to leave the Art Center with individuals listed on this approved pick-up list.

  • Enrollment Minimums:
    If a session has only one student enrolled, the family will be contacted and given the option to reschedule adjusted hours or transfer to another session.

  • Art Supplies:
    Most materials are provided; however, supplies are limited and shared. We offer a basic range of colors and materials needed to complete assigned projects.
    Students who are more serious about their art may wish to bring or purchase a personal supply kit to allow for greater flexibility, additional materials, or the use of preferred tools from home.
